9/29

Objective:  SWBAT understand Newton's Laws of motion.

Warm Up:  Get out your lab and find your lab partners.  What determines how much inertia an object has?

Wednesday, September 28, 2011

9/28

Objective:  SWBAT understand that inertia is a property of matter and the role inertia plays in the motion of objects.

Warm Up:  Pick up a lab packet, a lab response sheet and a ruler.  SILENTLY pre-read the front page of the lab packet.

9/26

Objective:  SWBAT review for tomorrow's test on 2 D motion.

Warm Up: Turn in your projectile lab.  What do you do to prepare for a test?

Friday, September 23, 2011

9/23

Objective:  SWBAT solve problems for projectiles moving in 2 dimensions.

Warm UP:  Pick up one handout.  Find your group mates and find a place to work.  Solve Problem number one parts a and b only.

9/21

Objective:  SWBAT experimentally determine the trajectory of a projectile launched at an angle.

Warm Up:  Pick up one lab handout and preread the procedure.

Tuesday, September 20, 2011

9/20

Objective:  SWBAT describe the motion (verbally and mathematically) of a projectile that is launched at an angle.

Warm Up: Turn in your Marble Lab if finished.  If you kick a soccer ball and it launches at 35o above the horizontal, what is the x direction velocity and the y direction velocity when it is at its highest point?

9/19

Objective:  SWBAT calculation the range and the height at which a projectile is projected with initial horizontal velocity only.

Warm Up:  Turn in Ch 3 outline (and other labs that you may still have).
Pick up one handout.  How can a sailboat with an 80 ft mast  make it under a 65 ft bridge (that isn't a drawbridge and doesn't open in any way)?
