Objective:  SWBAT examine the history and development of safety features in automobiles.

Today's Assignment:  Watch the movie "Modern Marvel's Car Crashes".  Choose a safety feature in automobiles that you would like to research.  Write a 500 work typewritten report on the history, development and physics behind your safety feature.  Due Tuesday Nov 27th.

Warm Up: A bullet is shot into a suspended block of wood as shown on the board.  Find the initial velocity of the bullet.

Objective:  SWBAT design a lab using a ramp and two marbles that demonstrates that momentum is conserved in a two dimentional collision.

Warm UP:  Pick up a lab worksheet.  Form a group of 4.  How can I determine the speed of a marble that has traveled down a ramp?

Objective:  SWBAT apply the work energy theorem to solve problems involving energy.

Warm Up: A firework rocket is launched from rest.  425 J of work is done on the rocket by the propellent to cause the rocket to reach a height of 29 m.  Ignoring air resistance (and the loss of mass due to the burning of the propellent) determine the final velocity of the rocket.
