10/11/11

Objective:  SWBAT determine how tension acts as a force.

Warm Up:  Pick up your graded papers.
Several students push a 15 kg block up a  3 m long ramp (25 degrees above the horizontal) with a force of 150 N.  The coefficient of kinetic friction is 0.6.  What is the normal force acting on the block?  What is the force of friction acting on the block?  What is the acceleration of the block?  If the block started at rest, what is it's velocity after it has moved 2 m?
