Yesterday Dr. Lewin entertained us by deriving the equations for the ocillation of a mass-spring system and for the period of a pendulum before becoming a human pendulum bob. The links to MIT courseware are to the right in the blog and the video lectures (even though they contain a little calculus) are excellent ways to review before a test or for the AP exam!
Objective: SWBAT develope and test a method for determining if a spring and a rubber band obeys Hooke's Law.
Warm Up: Pick up a lab packet. Do the prelab activity for Part 1.
